Art of the Week- Behind the Scenes: “Sharp Focus #4”

Everything is energy.

Hi! as you know, I teach Tai Chi and take many Tai Chi classes as well, so I am really in tune with the energy of the Chinese healing arts. We recently entered the time of the metal element as we move into winter.

The metal element in Chinese healing arts and Feng Shui symbolizes clarity, structure, and precision. In healing, it is associated with the lungs and large intestine, encouraging emotional release and clear thinking. In Feng Shui, Metal brings strength, order, and efficiency, enhancing focus and creativity, especially in the West and Northwest areas of a space.

Metal element energy art benefits your space by promoting clarity and focus, improving organization, supporting emotional balance, and boosting creativity. It helps create a calm, structured, and efficient environment.

For example, placing metal elements or energy art in certain areas of the home can help with the following:

Art of the Week- Behind the Scenes: “Embrace the Earth”.

I spend a lot of time thinking about energy, healing, and Chinese healing arts since I am a Tai Chi instructor and teach 8-9 classes a week. Things that come up in my class, or classes I take often provides inspiration for my art.

In Chinese healing arts and Feng Shui, the concept of elements is central to understanding balance, health, and harmony. These elements, like earth, water, fire, wood and metal are connected to different aspects of life, nature, and energy.

The shoulder season between summer and fall is the time of the earth element.

The Earth element represents stability, nurturing, and balance. It is associated with qualities like groundedness, harmony, and nourishment. It relates to our ability to feel centered, care for others, and create a sense of home and support.

This artwork represents the earth element and uses warm, earthy tones to promote emotional balance, connection, and self-care. It enhances supportive relationships and provides a sense of calm and security, making it perfect for living spaces, meditation rooms, or areas of transition. Art of the Week- Behind the Scenes: “Childless Cat Ladies Unite”

OK, I could not help myself.

As a proud childless cat lady, I previously had fun creating a design I called “Childless Cat Lady” a few months ago.  Then after the debate, when Taylor Swift endorsed VP Kamala Harris, I had to create another design I called “Childless Cat Ladies Unite”.  I adore the colors and the kitty in this one, and the look of it as if it was done in alcohol inks, another favorite of mine.

Art of the Week- Behind the Scenes: “Transforming #24”

As I have been sharing some of my favorite art from my “Transforming” collection , I have been remembering some of the interesting changes I have seen in myself over time. Transformation can be dramatic in some people, and a long slow proccess for others that is less noticable as it happens but just as profound over time.

I think I am one of those that is on the slow burn plan:) My favorite art this week was inspired by the last steps you might notice in the process.

Peace: A deep sense of inner peace settles within you, a calm that remains regardless of external circumstances.

Transformation: Finally, you recognize your transformation, acknowledging the profound changes within you and embracing the journey that continues to unfold.

Below is one of my favorites, “Transforming #24”.

The colors really do feel peaceful, yet still rich with elements of silver, gold and copper mixed with a deep blue. It feels as if you have found a secret treasure chest.

Art of the Week- Behind the Scenes: “Transforming #19”

Hi there!

I hope you have been enjoying my “Transforming” collection I have been sharing the last few weeks about personal and spiritual transformation.

Here are a few more things inspired my favorite art this week.   Have you been relating to some of the signs?  Which one has been the most meaningful to you?  Creativity is one that has really resonated with me!

I love the simple design, the tranquil blue shades, the pearl drops and the framing. It looks so soft and peaceful in the room design I created.
