Art of the Week- Behind the Scenes: “Embrace the Earth”.

I spend a lot of time thinking about energy, healing, and Chinese healing arts since I am a Tai Chi instructor and teach 8-9 classes a week. Things that come up in my class, or classes I take often provides inspiration for my art.

In Chinese healing arts and Feng Shui, the concept of elements is central to understanding balance, health, and harmony. These elements, like earth, water, fire, wood and metal are connected to different aspects of life, nature, and energy.

The shoulder season between summer and fall is the time of the earth element.

The Earth element represents stability, nurturing, and balance. It is associated with qualities like groundedness, harmony, and nourishment. It relates to our ability to feel centered, care for others, and create a sense of home and support.

This artwork represents the earth element and uses warm, earthy tones to promote emotional balance, connection, and self-care. A Message from the Animals for You

Animals have a lot to teach us if we are willing to listen. Their messages can inspire our daily lives in profound ways.

 I created a digital oracle card deck with my wildlife energy art so you can put it on your phone and ask questions any time you like.   Each week, I ask for inspiration for all of us to make our lives better. Regardless of when you see this, it means the message is meant for you now.

Lately, with the super moon, harvest moon and lunar eclipse, the energies around us have been strong. It is a time to allow the light to shine on what finally needs to be released and to let it go. It is time to prepare for big things to come.

I asked for inspiration on what would be most beneficial for us to consider releasing. The answer I got was:

The journey of personal transformation and self-development is all about creating peace and well-being in your life and experiencing joy as a result of remembering who you truly are.

Butterflies are symbols of transformation and joy. Butterflies teach us about transformation, embracing change, patience, and growth, finding joy in the present moment, adaptability, the transient nature of life, connection to nature, and the interconnectedness of all living things.

What does this mean in terms of releasing?

The way I interpret this is that we need to look for the things that are not creating peace and well-being in our lives and consider letting them go. Be honest. Be open to thinking about it. Embrace the change and transformation it can bring. Now is a great time.

“Transforming” Energy Art

A Message from the Animals for You

Hi!  If you are new here, I have created a digital oracle card deck with my wildlife energy art. It is something you can put on your phone with an app, and ask questions any time you like.  You can see it “shuffling” the cards and then you can randomly pick a card, face down, that feels right to you.  Turn it over for your inspiration.  Each week, I ask for inspiration for all of us to make our lives better.

This week , I asked what is the most important lesson we need to learn over the next year. The answer is….

Owls are known for their ability to see and hear things that are not immediately apparent. Find strength in intuition and inner wisdom. Art of the Week- Behind the Scenes: “Childless Cat Ladies Unite”

OK, I could not help myself.

As a proud childless cat lady, I previously had fun creating a design I called “Childless Cat Lady” a few months ago.  Then after the debate, when Taylor Swift endorsed VP Kamala Harris, I had to create another design I called “Childless Cat Ladies Unite”.  I adore the colors and the kitty in this one, and the look of it as if it was done in alcohol inks, another favorite of mine.

“Transforming” Energy Art

When you look at this art, imagine the power of transforming, and bringing peace and well-being into your life. Transformation is something we can embark on by choice, or that can be inspired by circumstances.

During transformation, you may notice the following changes. My “Transforming” collection expresses the energy of these different changes. Attract them in your own life by putting them in your space and focusing your attention on them. This show highlights the first three steps 4, 5 and 6.

1. Awakening: It starts with a gentle nudge, an inner call that stirs your soul and makes you question your current path.
2. Curiosity: This awakening leads to a deep curiosity, a hunger to understand more about yourself and the world around you.
3. Seeking: Driven by this curiosity, you begin to seek knowledge and wisdom from books, teachers, and spiritual practices.

Lately, I have been feeling a new sense of hope that things are changing in this country. That feeling inspired this collection.

“Hope”  shows the powerful feeling of hope and freedom. It’s filled with bright, flowing colors that represent the shift from uncertainty to possibility. The image captures the uplifting energy of unity and the happiness that spreads as people come together, dreaming of a better future.
