Step into the Light — The Transformation of Spring

In Resurrection Bay, where the snow-capped mountains meet the sea, something sacred stirs each spring. The long Alaskan winter begins to soften. Ice melts, light returns, and nature takes a deep, collective breath.

That’s the energy behind my Transformation of Spring collection—part of the Magic of Alaska series. This artwork is more than just a celebration of a season; it’s a reflection of how we come back to life.

This series invites you to let go of the heaviness of winter—whether that’s external or emotional—and open to what’s waiting to bloom. It’s about transformation, the slow, subtle kind that starts beneath the surface and suddenly bursts into color and clarity.

A Poem That Inspired The Art.

I created this poem to express the unique energy of this area in spring, and the poem inspired the energy art.

“In Resurrection Bay, where mountains kiss the sea, Spring emerges with tentative glee. From the depths of winter’s icy embrace, Comes the promise of renewal, in this sacred space.
No more ice to slip on, or darkness to dwell on.
With each passing day, the light extends, As hope and warmth grow, and our hearts mend.
With each melting snowflake, a promise untold, Of renewal and transformation, a story unfolds. Beneath the thawing surface, life stirs awake, A tapestry of colors, a joy to partake.
Bears rouse from slumber, nature’s heartbeat revives, In the dance of renewal, where light thrives
Beneath the azure sky, the land awakes, With each bud that bursts, a new claim is staked.
In this land of rugged grace, Nature’s art finds its rightful place. From barren cold to vibrant hue, Transformation blooms, fresh and new.
In Resurrection Bay, where mountains meet the sky, Transformation whispers with each breath, a sigh. For here, in this cradle of earth and sea, The promise of new beginnings sets us free.”

Art of the Week- Behind the Scenes: “Transforming #24”

As I have been sharing some of my favorite art from my “Transforming” collection , I have been remembering some of the interesting changes I have seen in myself over time. Transformation can be dramatic in some people, and a long slow proccess for others that is less noticable as it happens but just as profound over time.

I think I am one of those that is on the slow burn plan:) My favorite art this week was inspired by the last steps you might notice in the process.

Peace: A deep sense of inner peace settles within you, a calm that remains regardless of external circumstances.

Transformation: Finally, you recognize your transformation, acknowledging the profound changes within you and embracing the journey that continues to unfold.

Below is one of my favorites, “Transforming #24”.

The colors really do feel peaceful, yet still rich with elements of silver, gold and copper mixed with a deep blue. It feels as if you have found a secret treasure chest.

Over the last several weeks I have been sharing my “Transforming” collection about personal and spiritual transformation. I feel like once you start down this road of personal development, it is a journey that never ends.

Over the last several weeks I have been sharing my “Transforming” collection with you, which is about personal and spiritual transformation. I hope you have been enjoying it and would love to hear your thoughts about it.

I shared a little about my own transformational journey. Have you experienced anything similar? It seems that the events in the world over the last several years are really inspiring us to delve deeper into who we are, what we want and why we are here.

Here are a few more things I have noticed in my own journey of transformation. Have you experienced the same?

Mindfulness: You practice mindfulness, learning to stay present in the moment and appreciate the beauty of the world.

Meditation: Regular meditation becomes a cornerstone of your practice, helping you connect with your inner self and the divine.

Gratitude: You cultivate an attitude of gratitude, recognizing the blessings in your life and shifting your focus from lack to abundance.
 

“Transforming” is a collection of ethereal abstracts symbolizing personal and spiritual transformation. The metal filagree symbolizes the intricate journey of personal and spiritual growth. The pearl drops highlight moments of clarity and enlightenment. The soft, flowing lines invite reflection on the beauty of change and the new beginnings, renewal and the graceful evolution of the human spirit. Transformation brings peace and well-being.

I love the colors and the feeling of a time gone by.
