In Resurrection Bay, where the snow-capped mountains meet the sea, something sacred stirs each spring. The long Alaskan winter begins to soften. Ice melts, light returns, and nature takes a deep, collective breath.

That’s the energy behind my Transformation of Spring collection—part of the Magic of Alaska series. This artwork is more than just a celebration of a season; it’s a reflection of how we come back to life.

This series invites you to let go of the heaviness of winter—whether that’s external or emotional—and open to what’s waiting to bloom. It’s about transformation, the slow, subtle kind that starts beneath the surface and suddenly bursts into color and clarity.

I created this poem to express the unique energy of this area in spring, and the poem inspired the energy art.

“In Resurrection Bay, where mountains kiss the sea, Spring emerges with tentative glee. From the depths of winter’s icy embrace, Comes the promise of renewal, in this sacred space.
No more ice to slip on, or darkness to dwell on.
With each passing day, the light extends, As hope and warmth grow, and our hearts mend.
With each melting snowflake, a promise untold, Of renewal and transformation, a story unfolds. Beneath the thawing surface, life stirs awake, A tapestry of colors, a joy to partake.
Bears rouse from slumber, nature’s heartbeat revives, In the dance of renewal, where light thrives
Beneath the azure sky, the land awakes, With each bud that bursts, a new claim is staked.
In this land of rugged grace, Nature’s art finds its rightful place. From barren cold to vibrant hue, Transformation blooms, fresh and new.
In Resurrection Bay, where mountains meet the sky, Transformation whispers with each breath, a sigh. For here, in this cradle of earth and sea, The promise of new beginnings sets us free.”

Scarves

I love the modal scarves! They are 28 x 78″ and made of 100% Lenzing Modal which is a luxuriously soft botanic silk fabric made of beechwood. It is eco-friendly and its fineness is comparable to that of natural silk.

They also have beautiful wool, silk and cotton scarves. also eco-friendly and some of the proceeds go to social and financial literacy programs in India and Turkey. The cashmere scarves are spun from fine Kashmir goat hair (more than twice as warm as standard sheep’s wool). Some are also made with 20% silk. The wool ponchos are made from 100% twill wool. Jewelry

As a jewelry artist as well as a designer, I had always wondered how my fractal art would look on jewelry but was never sure how to create it. I was thrilled to see they could create jewelry and really love the round pendants and rings in particular. The necklaces come in other shapes as well and on metal or bamboo.
