Modern Global Style

It’s Just the Moon #26 energy art and Edesign by Mary Ann Benoit.

Modern Global Style in interior design is a contemporary approach that integrates design elements from various cultures around the world. Here’s a more detailed definition. This style marries the sleek and clean lines of modern design with diverse cultural artifacts, textiles, and patterns from around the globe. It’s a celebration of worldwide cultures, but presented in a way that fits today’s contemporary homes. Key characteristics include:

  • Eclectic Mix: Incorporates handcrafted items, traditional fabrics, and artisan furnishings from various countries and cultures.
  • Neutral Base with Pops of Color: While the base color palette may be neutral or understated, vibrant colors can be injected through textiles, art, and decor accents.
  • Natural Materials: Emphasizes materials like wood, stone, and plants, echoing global crafts and the importance of nature in many cultures.
  • Functional and Minimal: Unlike the more maximalist or cluttered traditional global style, the modern version leans toward minimalism, ensuring spaces are functional and free from unnecessary clutter.
  • Blend of Textures and Patterns: Distinctive patterns from Africa, Asia, South America, and other regions may be layered together, but in a balanced way that avoids overwhelming the space.

In essence, Modern Global Style is about embracing the beauty and uniqueness of worldwide cultures in a fresh, contemporary setting. It tells a story of global travels, or a love for different cultures, but does so in a way that’s chic, current, and sophisticated.

How to Get the Look

Getting this look requires a thoughtful blend of contemporary design with globally inspired elements. Energy and color are key elements. Here are some tips:

  1. Start Neutral: Begin with a neutral base, using colors like beiges, grays, or soft whites. This provides a canvas to add vibrant accents.

  2. Incorporate Global Textiles: Layer in textiles from around the world. Think kilim rugs, ikat prints, African mudcloth, or batik fabrics. These textiles bring rich patterns and textures.

  3. Artisanal Furniture: Opt for handcrafted furniture that showcases traditional craftsmanship made from natural materials like wood, rattan, or bamboo can evoke a global feel.

  4. Mix and Match: Enjoy combinng pieces from different cultures. A Moroccan lantern might sit beside a Balinese carved table, for example.

  5. Add Global Art: Incorporate art pieces inspired by or sourced from different parts of the world, from African tribal masks to Indian tapestries or fractal art pieces that resonate with the global aesthetic.

  6. Embrace Natural Materials: Use organic, raw materials like wood, stone, terracotta, and jute. These materials are universal and can be found in design elements across cultures.

  7. Include Plants: Indoor plants, especially those native to different parts of the world, can enhance the global feel. They add life, color, and a connection to nature.

  8. Curated Decor: Choose art and decor items that tell a story, whether it’s energy art, a handmade basket, a vintage vase, or a sculpture from your travels.

  9. Metallic Accents: Incorporate metals, especially those with a hand-beaten or artisanal look, like brass, bronze, or copper, often seen in global decor.

  10. Lighting is Key: Opt for lighting fixtures that resonate with a global vibe. Think lanterns, beaded chandeliers, or fixtures made with organic materials.

  11. Keep it Authentic: While it’s tempting to buy “global” items from mainstream stores, try sourcing genuine items, whether from local artisans, specialty stores, or your travels. Authenticity adds depth and meaning to the style.

  12. Blend Modern Elements: Pair your global pieces with sleek, contemporary furniture or decor to keep it looking fresh and modern. And think of having a more minimal look than you typically see with Bohemian style.

  13. Cultural Respect: Always be mindful and respectful of the cultural significance of the items you incorporate. Understand the history and meaning of the colors, motifs and symbols.

By carefully curating and blending elements, making energy the foundations of the design and going for a less is more, elegant look, you can crete a beautiful space that feels great and supports you energetically.

Bohemian Style

The Bohemian style is a radiant dance of earthy hues, metals, and vibrant jewel tones. It’s grounded in neutrals like deep browns and serene grays, then sprinkled with vivacious purples, burning oranges, and brilliant blues.

Those who gravitate towards Bohemian aesthetics are free spirits, unburdened by conventions and always guided by their heart!

Are you captivated by vintage furniture, unique light fixtures, and textiles that tell tales of distant lands? Do you find joy in curating treasures from flea markets, thrift shops, and your travels?

You probably have a penchant for blending luxurious fabrics and glimmering accessories with cherished antiques and eclectic pieces. In the Bohemian realm, if it sparks joy, it has a place. After all, abundance is the essence!

The Bohemian style is the epitome of global design, weaving tales of your adventures and experiences into the fabric of your space. It’s a tapestry of vivid colors, intricate patterns, and diverse textures that echo the arts, crafts, and spirit of different cultures.

Every item narrates a unique story, sparking conversations and memories.

There’s a free-spirited fluidity in how treasures are showcased, unbound by geographical or thematic constraints. Antiques seamlessly blend with contemporary pieces, while elements from nature—like animal horns, verdant plants, or raw minerals—infuse authenticity and charisma.

Though global design champions eclecticism, you might find yourself particularly captivated by the hues and artifacts of specific regions, letting them take center stage in your space.

Elements of Bohemian Style

Bohemian style, often referred to as “boho,” is characterized by its eclectic, free-spirited nature. Rooted in artistic expression and unconventional design, boho draws inspiration from different cultures, eras, and personal narratives. Here are some defining elements of Bohemian style:

  1. Layered Textiles: Rich, textured fabrics like velvet, silk, suede, and fur are layered upon each other. Think Moroccan rugs, macramé hangings, and chunky knit throws.

  2. Eclectic Patterns and Colors: Boho doesn’t shy away from bold, vibrant colors and intricate patterns. Expect paisleys, tribal prints, florals, and other global-inspired motifs.

  3. Natural Materials: Incorporate wooden furnishings, wicker, bamboo, and other organic materials for a grounded feel.

  4. Plenty of Greenery: Plants, whether potted or hanging, play a crucial role in boho spaces. They introduce a fresh, earthy vibe and often become central features.

  5. Vintage and Handmade Items: From flea markets to artisanal craft fairs, boho decor often includes vintage, handmade, or one-of-a-kind pieces, lending the space unique character and charm.

  6. Worldly Decor: Artifacts and textiles from travels or different cultures, like Indian tapestries, African baskets, or Tibetan thangkas, give the space a global ambiance.

  7. Low-level Seating: Think floor cushions, poufs, low sofas, and tatami mats, promoting a relaxed and informal atmosphere.

  8. Unconventional Display: Art and items aren’t just hung on walls. They might be layered, draped, or even placed on the floor. The aim is to create an aesthetically pleasing sense of ‘organized chaos’.

  9. A Mix of Styles: Boho often blends elements from various design philosophies—be it mid-century modern, industrial, or even a touch of glamour—into one cohesive look.

  10. Personal Touches: Bohemian style is deeply personal. It’s not unusual to find family photos, cherished trinkets, or DIY items that hold sentimental value.

The essence of boho is not strictly adhering to a set formula but embracing the unexpected, celebrating individuality, and letting one’s personality shine through the decor. It’s about creating a space that feels like a true reflection of the self and one’s journey.

Colors of Bohemian Style

Bohemian style is known for its rich and vibrant use of color, drawing inspiration from various cultures and natural elements. While there’s no strict palette that defines boho style, here are some colors commonly associated with it:

  1. Earth Tones: Deep browns, greens, and grays often serve as base colors, grounding the space and providing a canvas for brighter tones.

  2. Jewel Tones: Saturated purples, fiery oranges, electric blues, and deep magentas are classic boho choices. These rich hues evoke a sense of worldliness and artistic flair.

  3. Warm Reds and Pinks: Think of Moroccan or Indian textiles, which often feature warm terracottas, corals, and pinks.

  4. Golden Yellows: From mustard to saffron, yellow shades bring warmth and brightness to bohemian spaces.

  5. Turquoise and Teal: These colors, reminiscent of gemstones and oceans, add depth and drama.

  6. Neutrals: Though boho is known for its color, neutral shades like beiges, creams, and off-whites play a crucial role in balancing out the vibrancy and providing moments of calm.

  7. Metallic Accents: While not a color per se, gold, bronze, and other metallics often find their way into boho designs, whether through accessories, trims, or decorative pieces.

  8. Natural Greens: Taking inspiration from nature and the emphasis on plants in boho design, various shades of green, from olive to emerald, are often incorporated.

IBohemian style is highly individualistic. While the above colors are commonly associated with boho, it’s more about mixing and matching what resonates personally with your own energy.

This style is flexible, allowing for personal tastes and influences from different cultures to shine through. So, while these are guiding tones, there’s plenty of room for interpretation and personalization in boho color schemes.

The energy of Bohemian style is a unique amalgamation of various attributes, emanating a vibe that is both relaxed and vibrant. Here’s a breakdown of the energy associated with Bohemian style:

  1. Free-Spirited: At its core, the Bohemian style embodies a sense of freedom and non-conformity. It’s about breaking the mold, rejecting traditional norms, and embracing an eclectic mix that reflects one’s unique personality and experiences.

  2. Creative Expression: Bohemian spaces are often filled with handmade items, crafts, and artifacts from around the world. These pieces tell stories, each item a reflection of artistic expression and individual creativity.

  3. Warmth and Comfort: With its use of layered textiles, plush cushions, and rugs, Bohemian style exudes warmth and coziness. It’s inviting, making one feel immediately at ease.

  4. Connection to Nature: Boho interiors often incorporate natural elements like plants, stones, and wooden items, reflecting a deep-rooted connection to the earth and nature.

  5. Worldly and Cultured: The style showcases an appreciation for different cultures, traditions, and crafts from around the world. The energy is one of inclusivity and global appreciation.

  6. Sensual and Tactile: With an emphasis on textures and materials, Bohemian style engages the senses. Whether it’s the feel of a soft fabric, the visual appeal of colorful patterns, or the aromatic presence of incense, the style appeals to our sensory experiences.

  7. Whimsical and Playful: The eclectic mix often results in unexpected and playful combinations, lending a whimsical energy to Bohemian spaces.

  8. Intimate and Personal: Above all, Bohemian style is deeply personal. It reflects the inhabitant’s journey, tastes, memories, and aspirations. It’s intimate, revealing stories and experiences through design elements.

In essence, the energy of Bohemian style is vibrant yet relaxed, worldly yet intimate, and always deeply personal and expressive. It’s a style that resonates with those who value individuality, creativity, and a connection to the world around them.

How to Get the Look

Want to get the look? Whether you’re diving deep into Boho style or just sprinkling some elements into your current decor, here are some tips.

  1. Jewel Tones: Add splashes of deep, vibrant colors through cushions, lamps, or artwork.
  2. Global Mix: Incorporate items from various countries, blending textures and patterns to evoke a sense of worldly charm.
  3. Velvety Touch: Introduce soft fabrics like velvet for an instant luxe feel.
  4. Metallic Hints: Blend in metals to provide that eclectic spark.
  5. Vintage Meets Modern: Pair your contemporary pieces with vintage finds for an authentic Boho mix.
  6. Treasures on Display: Showcase your personal journey – souvenirs, photos, and unique finds that narrate your story.
  7. Curate Thoughtfully: While Boho celebrates abundance, give each piece its moment. Create breathing space around standout items for a refined look, which I personally like and think of as elegant Bohemian.

Bohemian is all about expressing your authentic self. Let your space tell your unique story, mixing the old with the new, the near with the far, and the bold with the subtle.

Here are some of the energy art pieces I created for the Bohemian style design in this article you can use to get the look.

Bohemian Style Color Schemes

Bohemian style celebrates warm earthy colors, metals and jewel tones.

Bohemian decor often uses deep browns, greens, grays or other neutral colors for base colors, then accessorizes with saturated colors.

How is Bohemian Style Different?

Bohemian style, while rooted in global influences, has distinct characteristics that set it apart from other global styles. Here’s a breakdown to highlight the differences:

  1. Origin & Influence:

    • Bohemian: The name derives from the French word for ‘gypsy’, and originally referred to the nomadic, spirited lifestyle of the Bohemians. It’s less about a specific culture and more about a free-spirited and eclectic mix of elements.
    • Other Global Styles: Typically, other global styles, like Moroccan, Southwestern, or African, are more region-specific and derive elements directly from those regions’ cultures, histories, and landscapes.
  2. Design Philosophy:

    • Bohemian: Emphasizes individuality, freedom, and a disregard for conventions or trends. It’s all about personal expression and creating a space that feels right for the individual, often leading to a mix-and-match approach.
    • Other Global Styles: These often adhere to traditional designs, colors, and patterns from the specific region they originate from.
  3. Elements & Decor:

    • Bohemian: Known for its layering. There’s often a mix of vintage with modern, handmade with store-bought, and a blend of different textures and materials. It’s common to see plants, mismatched textiles, and a cluttered yet harmonious look.
    • Other Global Styles: While they might also incorporate mixed textiles and handmade items, they’re typically more cohesive in terms of the cultural motifs, colors, and materials they employ.
  4. Colors:

    • Bohemian: Typically vibrant and varied, with a rich mix of jewel tones, earthy colors, and metallics.
    • Other Global Styles: While they can also be vibrant, they often have a more defined and consistent palette, like the rich blues and whites in Greek Mediterranean style or the earthy tones of Southwestern style.
  5. Versatility:

    • Bohemian: Highly versatile and adaptive. Since it’s driven by individual choice, it can easily incorporate elements from various global styles.
    • Other Global Styles: While adaptable, they are often more defined and distinct, making them less fluid than Bohemian style.

In summary, while both Bohemian and other global styles are inspired by worldwide influences, Bohemian style is more eclectic, free-spirited, and individualistic, whereas other global styles tend to stay truer to their cultural origins.

Saturday Night Live Art Shows- Globally Inspired, Soulfully Aligned- Turkish Style

Welcome to Saturday Night Live Art Shows. “Globally Inspired, Soulfully Aligned” is The New Design Frontier.

This is about creating global style interiors with my Aligned Design philosphy. It captivates Global Design’s worldly charm with Aligned Design’s holistic approach to create external beauty and internal harmony.

In this show I show you how I created an Edesign that is aesthetically pleasing and soulfully enriching. In creating your perfect space, energy is the foundation of everything.

The energy of Turkish style is deeply rooted in its rich cultural heritage, reflecting it’s position at the crossroads of Europe and Asia. Turkish interiors harmonize Byzantine, Ottoman, Persian, and Central Asian influences, giving it a wonderful exotic feeling. Turkish style is known for it;s beautiful rugs, lighting, and symbolism including tulips, the evil eye, and fish.

My art captures that energy and those symbols.

My designs are collages of AI and layers of fractal energy art, reflecting Turkish style and supportive energy messages. See my art on the wall and chairs of my Edesign. This art is infused with layers to inspire you to live on the path with heart, and to release attachments to what you do not need. Some of the art is hard to see but it is there, with subliminal messages. Even if you don’t see it, your brain does.

Raise the vibe in your space today. Great design starts with energy. Surround yourself with art that reminds you what is important and enhances the energy of your space and your potential. When your space is better, you are better. When you are better, the world is better. The world needs you.

My unique Interior Design philosophy combines The ART of beauty The SCIENCE of color The ENERGY of well-being. Art + Science + Energy = Magic.

What is Globally Inspired, Soulfully Aligned?

Globally Inspired and Soulfully Aligned is a New Design Frontier. I have created a collection of collages created with AI and fractal energy art that combine Global Design styles worldly charm with the energy, alignment and emotional nurturing of my Aligned Design’s holistic approach. It’s a marriage of external beauty and internal harmony, ensuring that your surroundings are not just aesthetically pleasing but also soulfully enriching.

Each piece has subliminal energy messages from layers of fractal art designed to uplift and support you. My Heart of Morocco collection includes four layers from my Path with Heart collection and also my Attachments of the Heart Design.

My Path with Heart series emphasizes “All paths lead to the same place in the end. The important thing is that you pick a path with heart, do what you love, and enjoy the journey.” If you look closely, you will see numerous hearts from this collection throughout the design.

Each piece is also overlayed with my “Attachments of the Heart” design. The meaning of this piece is “Buddha said “the root of suffering is attachment”. The biggest cause of suffering in our lives comes from our attachments, or expectations of the way we think things should be.When we don’t get what we want or how we want it, we are unhappy. Attachments of the heart to our lovers, family, pets, and friends are often the hardest attachments to release. The key is to love, but not be attached to the outcome. Let it be what it is”.

While you may not see this large heart because of the transparancy of the design, and you may not notice all the small hearts, the subliminal message still comes through. The message is to live the path with heart without being attached to things for maximum well-being.

Moroccan Style

Moroccan style design is a melting pot of Andalusian, Berber, Persian, and many other cultural influences, resulting in a rich and distinct aesthetic. It’s renowned for its vibrant colors, intricate patterns, and luxurious textures. Here’s a deeper dive into the colors and design elements of Moroccan style:

Colors:

  1. Rich and Vibrant Hues: Deep blues, fiery reds, emerald greens, and sunny yellows are prevalent.
  2. Earth Tones: Warm terracotta, beige, and browns, reflecting the country’s desert landscapes.
  3. Cooler Tones: Reflecting the Mediterranean coast, you’ll see aqua, teal, and turquoise.
  4. Metallic Shades: Gold and silver accents often embellish decor and fixtures.

Design Elements:

  1. Zellige Tiles: These are traditional hand-cut tiles used to create intricate mosaics. They are often used in flooring, walls, and tabletops. Their geometric and floral patterns are a hallmark of Moroccan design.

  2. Archways: Moroccan architecture often features horseshoe and pointed arches. They can be found in doors, windows, and alcoves.

  3. Tadelakt: This is a waterproof plaster used in Moroccan architecture, especially in baths and kitchens. It offers a smooth, luxurious finish.

  4. Riads: Traditional Moroccan houses often feature an interior garden or courtyard, which serves as a private oasis and a focal point of the home.

  5. Textiles: Rich, tactile fabrics like silk, wool, and velvet are common, often in intricate weaves and embroideries. Think of kilim rugs, plush cushions, and flowing curtains.

  6. Lanterns: Often made of metal and glass, Moroccan lanterns can be hung or placed on surfaces. Their intricate patterns cast beautiful shadows when illuminated.

  7. Furniture: Low-slung seating and carved wooden furniture are typical. Inlaid bone, metal, and mother-of-pearl often embellish these

Blue Staircase art
Blue staircase in Morocco

Here is an Edesign I created using the art of a blue staircase in Chefchaouen, a blue city in the north of Morocco as the inspiration. The place is named after the mountain tops behind the village which look like two horns of a goat (chaoua). I loved the bold colors, interesting textures and peaceful feeling of this image which I tried to capture in my design.

The design highlights Moroccan tiles on the floor, Moroccan lighting,  and a beautiful hand knotted wool rug from the Tullu region of Morocco. Arched windows, hand carved Moroccan tables and pottery add to the look.  Colorful Moroccan and global style pillows against a modern sofa create a nice contrast.

Here is the same design using my energy art, designed to capture the artistry and feeling of Moroccan design with an overlay of fractal energy art to support you to be in alignment with who you truly are.

The Energy of Moroccan Style

Moroccan style interior design, much like other global styles, has its distinct energy and essence. However, the particular nuances of its energy are shaped by its unique cultural, historical, and geographical context. Here’s a comparison of the energy of Moroccan interior design to other global styles:

  1. Historical Richness: Moroccan design is imbued with centuries of cross-cultural influences, including Berber, Spanish, French, and Arabian. This fusion creates an energy that feels both ancient and cosmopolitan.

  2. Warmth & Comfort: The use of warm, earthy colors, plush textiles, and intricate carvings creates an ambiance of coziness and sanctuary. This contrasts with some minimalist or cooler global styles.

  3. Sensory Depth: Moroccan interiors are known for engaging all senses, from the tactile experience of Zellige tiles and plush rugs to the visual feast of intricate patterns and the ambient glow of lantern light. This multi-sensory appeal may be less pronounced in other global styles that might focus predominantly on visual aesthetics.

  4. Intricate Detailing: Moroccan design heavily features detailed geometric patterns, ornate carvings, and elaborate metalwork. While other global styles might also use detailed patterns, Moroccan patterns have a specific energy that speaks to Islamic art’s avoidance of human and animal forms and instead focuses on abstract and geometric designs.

  5. Connection to Nature: With its earthy palettes, natural materials, and the incorporation of indoor plants and water features, Moroccan design fosters a deep connection to nature. Some other global styles, like Japanese interior design, also emphasize this connection, but each does so with different elements and principles.

  6. Spirituality: The presence of items like ornate lanterns and archways reminiscent of mosque architecture subtly hints at Morocco’s deep-rooted Islamic traditions. This spiritual undertone might differ from other global styles which could have other religious or philosophical underpinnings.

In essence, while all global styles resonate with the energies of their origins, Moroccan interior design is characterized by its warm, inviting, and multi-sensory experience, layered with historical and spiritual depth. It’s a style that doesn’t just look good – it feels good, enveloping inhabitants in an ambiance that’s both exotic and comforting.

The Magic of Fractal Art

The first time I saw Fractal Art, I discovered it accidentally on Pinterest. I stopped in my tracks and was captivated with the brilliant colors, intricate designs and perfect symmetry. I searched for more and became more fascinated. I wanted to know how it was created.  Being an artist myself, I am always on the lookout for new art forms that inspire me!

I was surprised to find out that Fractal art is a form of computer or digital art developed in the 1980’s. It is algorithmic art created by calculating fractal objects which create still and moving images.  In other words, it is abstract art created by math.

What? Doing math and art at the same time is not my idea of a good time, but I still wondered if there was a way to learn to make it without making my brain hurt!

I found there are a variety of computer programs out there that allow you to experiment with creating fractal art so started playing around. It takes a little bit of learning and experimenting, but this is what I found.

Creating fractal art is like traveling through a kaleidoscope that has no beginning or end.  When traveling, you find a place you want to stop and stay a while. While there,  you can manipulate the color, texture, light, shine, spectrum, hue and other elements around you until you have created the perfect place, and then you save it as an image. Sometimes I go a little too far playing with the elements and I ruin what I have made but can not go back. So I feel lucky when I can capture the perfect image. It is impossible to ever find that place again if I did want to replicate it…it would be like finding a single drop of water within the ocean. That is why each piece is one of a kind.

Here is an example of what I mean. Let’s go on a little journey together through the “kaleidoscope”.

Let’s say we found a good place to stop and stay awhile and want to play with some colors. Below I am modifying the spectrum and hues.

https://northernlightsstaging.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/IXBK3704.movhttps://northernlightsstaging.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/TODQ7752.mov

OK, now let’s play with some textures.

Working with fractal art is a little like meditation and color therapy mixed together. As a person that  loves color, I am in my happy place!

So what can you do with your fractal art when you are done?  See my fractal art collection, Fractal Art- Sacred Geometry in Motion, and a wide variety of wall art and home decor that can be made from it.

Improving Your Health and Well-Being with Energy Art and Interior Design

What one thing do you wish you had more of in life? Most people will probably pick one of the following; wealth, health. love or spirituality. What is it for you?

Is Health the Top Thing You Want More of in Life?

There are five main aspects of personal health: physical, emotional, social, spiritual, and intellectual.  Regular exercise, a balanced diet, and proper sleep can enhance physical health, while mindfulness, self-care practices, therapy, and social connections can support mental well-being.

Interior design with energy art as a foundation can support personal alignment with who you truly are and inspire, support and attract these things into your life.

My energy art is a unique blend of fractal and AI-enhanced designs, and serves as the bedrock of my Aligned Design (interior design) approach. It not only makes your space more beautiful and serves as a foundation for your design and color scheme — it channels and magnifies personal alignment, guiding you to your authentic self. By embedding this art in your surroundings, you naturally enhance attracting health, as well as wealth, love, and spiritual enrichment.

Improving Your Health and Well-Being with Energy Art and Interior Design

Some Causes of Health Issues

Are You “At Ease” with Yourself?

Often health issues arise when we are not at ease with who we are,  or the results that mirror this in our lives, and “disease” follows. This can come from:

  1. Chronic Stress: Long-term stress can lead to serious illnesses.
  2. Negative Emotions: Holding onto negative feelings can weaken the immune system.
  3. Lack of Self-Care: Not taking care of yourself properly can cause health problems.
  4. Unhealthy Relationships: Bad relationships or feeling alone can lead to mental health issues.
  5. Unfulfilled Life: Living an unauthentic life can cause chronic stress and health problems.

Resources for Positive Change

Change involves reflection, effort, and honesty. Three resources I have used in my own life effectively are:

  1. Energy Art: This can remind you daily of your growth journey. Support yourself with Transformation or Becoming energy art in your space.
  2. Coaching Programs: Programs like TCP with Jim Fortin help with personal development.
  3. Podcasts: Jim Fortin’s free podcast offers helpful advice for personal transformation.

Are You in Alignment?

Being in alignment means doing what you are truly passionate about, irrespective of monetary gain. It’s about expressing your unique vision to the world and positively impacting others’ lives, creating expansion for others and yourself.

When we are not aligned with our work and engage in tasks we dislike or solely for the money, it can have a negative impact on our mental and physical health. Such a mismatch between our true desires and the work we do can lead to stress, dissatisfaction, and overall reduced well-being.

We can get in alignment when we live on a path with heart, doing the things that bring fulfillment and joy,  and this positively influences our mental and physical health.

Unlocking Self-Love: Beyond the Need for Overdoing

Many people take on more tasks and responsibilities, or “overdo”, in the hope of earning love or approval from others. However, this can often lead to stress and exhaustion, and it’s not a sustainable or healthy way to gain self-worth.

True self-worth comes from within, not from the validation of others. It’s important to learn to love and approve of ourselves, embracing our strengths and accepting our weaknesses. When we find love and approval within ourselves, we no longer feel the need to overdo things for others’ acceptance. We can then focus on fulfilling our own needs and desires, leading to a more balanced and content life.

When we define our worth based on others’ perceptions, we give away our power. Taking our power back involves:

  1. Releasing Attachments: Let go of the need for validation from others. Your value is inherent and doesn’t rely on external approval.

  2. Let Go of things that don’t serve you: Recognize habits that don’t serve you, like overworking. Replace these behaviors with things that do serve you instead.

  3. Practicing Self-Care: Prioritize activities that nourish your mind and body. This can range from getting enough sleep, giving yourself quiet time or flowers, getting regular massages or walks or making time for hobbies you love.

Remember, your value comes from within, and the love and approval you seek should first and foremost come from yourself.

Support yourself by releasing unhealthy attachments and practices, and focusing on self-care, you start to regain control over your life and well-being.

How Energy Art Can Improve Your Health

Energy art, deeply rooted in the principles of harmony, frequency, and resonance, can be an influential tool for bolstering your health. How?

Balancing Energies: Everything in our universe vibrates at specific frequencies, including our bodies. Energy art can help harmonize these vibrations, creating a balanced environment that fosters well-being. Try my Yin/Yang and Qi energy art for balance.

Saturday Night Live Art Shows- "Yin and Yang" Aligned Energy Art

Stress Reduction: The beauty of energy art can induce a sense of calm and tranquility, significantly reducing stress. As stress is a common precursor to many health issues, mitigating it can have profound health benefits. Energy art in blues and greens are calming. Try my Release, Attachments of the Heart, and Let it Go energy art.

“Let it Go” energy art and Edesign by Mary Ann Benoit.

Stimulating Positive Thoughts: Certain patterns and colors in energy art can evoke positive emotions, thoughts, and memories. These positive mental states can bolster mental health and, by extension, improve physical health. Encouraging Meditation and Mindfulness: Energy art can serve as a focal point for meditation, helping one concentrate and delve deeper into a meditative state. Regular meditation is linked to lowered blood pressure, reduced anxiety, and improved mental clarity.

Boosting Immune Function: Positive emotions and reduced stress, both of which can be facilitated by energy art, are known to have a strengthening effect on the immune system. This means better resistance to diseases and quicker recovery. Try art in my Metal Element and Crystal collections.

Enhancing Sleep Quality: A serene environment imbued with the calming influences of energy art can improve sleep patterns. Good sleep is a cornerstone of good health, aiding in healing, cognitive function, and emotional balance.

Improving Air Quality: If energy art incorporates natural elements or materials, it can also play a role in purifying the air, which is beneficial for respiratory health.

In essence, energy art is not just a feast for the eyes, but a nurturing force for the body and soul. When thoughtfully integrated into one’s living or working space, it can act as a consistent source of rejuvenation and holistic health.

Improving Your Health and Well-Being with Energy Art and Interior Design

Saturday Night Live Art Shows- Globally Inspired, Soulfully Aligned- Moroccan Style

Moroccan style reflects the diverse culture of Arabs, Berbers, Europeans and African immigrants.

Warm and welcoming, it exudes a natural, historical, and spiritual depth. Both comforting and exotic, it appeals to all senses.

My designs are collages of AI and layers of fractal energy art, reflecting Moroccan style and supportive energy messages.

See my art on the walls of my Edesign.

Attachments of the Heart fractal art by Mary Ann Benoit.

What is Moroccan Style?

Moroccan style design is a melting pot of Andalusian, Berber, Persian, and many other cultural influences, resulting in a rich and distinct aesthetic. It’s renowned for its vibrant colors, intricate patterns, and luxurious textures.

Moroccan interior design is characterized by its warm, inviting, and multi-sensory experience, layered with historical and spiritual depth. It’s a style that doesn’t just look good – it feels good, enveloping inhabitants in an ambiance that’s both exotic and comforting.

Learn more about the details of Moroccan style in my article “Get the Look- Moroccan Style Interior Design”.

“Heart of Morocco” Aligned Energy Art

Everything is energy. The energy of your space affects how you feel and can support you in reaching your potential. Energy art can serve as the basis for the design of the room, and how it feels.  My “Heart of Morocco” energy art serves as the foundation for the style, colors and energy of this Edesign of a living room.

How Can Energy Art Help You Become More Aligned?

Energy art serves as a bridge between the tangible realm of design and the intangible energies that influence our emotions, behaviors, and inner truths. Here’s how energy art can assist in aligning you with your true self:

  1. Resonance and Reflection: Energy art often resonates with viewers on a deep, personal level. Such art can reflect aspects of your subconscious or emotions, acting as a mirror to your inner world, helping you gain insights into your authentic self.

  2. Shift in Energy: Energy Art, when infused with the energy of the artist, can shift the energy of a space. Being surrounded by energy-aligned art can aid in changing or enhancing your own vibrational frequency, thereby drawing you closer to alignment with your true self.

  3. Catalyst for Meditation and Introspection: Energy art can be a focal point for meditation, offering an anchor for your thoughts. This can lead to profound self-awareness and understanding.

  4. Stimulation of Positive Emotions: Energy artis intended to evoke specific feelings or states of being. Such positive stimulation can help clear mental and emotional blocks, guiding you to resonate more with your true feelings and desires.

  5. Connection to Higher Realms: For those inclined spiritually, energy art can serve as a portal or connection to higher realms, spirit guides, or universal energies. This can be instrumental in understanding your life’s purpose or soul’s journey.

  6. Enhancement of Healing: Energy art can catalyze healing—be it emotional, mental, or spiritual. This healing can strip away layers of trauma, pain, or societal conditioning, revealing the genuine self beneath.

  7. Aid in Visualization: Such art can assist in visualizing goals, desires, or aspects of yourself you may wish to understand or manifest better.

  8. Affirmations and Intentions: Many pieces of energy art come with specific intentions or affirmations. Regularly viewing and connecting with these affirmations can embed these positive messages deeper into one’s psyche, facilitating alignment with core values and beliefs.

In essence, energy art is a powerful tool that merges aesthetics, intention, and vibrational frequencies. When engaged with purposefully, it becomes more than just a visual treat—it transforms into a dynamic guide, leading you closer to understanding and embodying your authentic self.

How Can Energy Art Help Attract More Wealth, Health and Abundance?

Energy art, with its intentional fusion of aesthetics and vibrational resonance, serves as a conduit for positive energies and manifestations.  Here’s how energy art might assist in drawing wealth, health, and love into one’s life:

  1. Frequency Alignment for Wealth: The law of attraction says that like attracts like. By surrounding oneself with energy art that resonates with the frequency of abundance and prosperity, one might raise their personal vibration to match that of wealth, thus attracting financial opportunities and prosperity.

  2. Promoting Health: Energy art, especially pieces designed to emanate calm, balance, and rejuvenation, can foster an environment of relaxation and positivity. This can reduce stress, a major culprit behind many health issues, and promote healing and well-being. Additionally, art pieces that resonate with vitality and vigor can serve as a daily reminder and motivator to pursue healthy habits.

  3. Attracting Love: Energy art focused on love, compassion, and partnership can serve to open one’s heart and make them more receptive to giving and receiving love. The art can not only attract romantic love but can also strengthen familial bonds, friendships, and self-love. It acts as a visual representation of the love one wishes to manifest, making the intention clear and tangible.

4. Harmonizing Space: The placement of energy art can harmonize the flow of chi or energy in a space, based on principles similar to Feng Shui. A harmonized space is believed to remove blocks and make the flow of positive energies like wealth, health, and love smoother and more natural.

5. Stimulating Positive Thoughts and Actions: Being surrounded by energy art that embodies what you desire (be it wealth, health, or love) can serve as a daily affirmation. This can lead to more positive thoughts, which in turn can manifest in positive actions, decisions, and outcomes.

6. Cultivating Gratitude:  Gratitude is a powerful magnet for abundance in all its forms. Energy art can serve as a reminder of the universe’s bounties and encourage a daily practice of gratitude, which in turn can attract even more to be grateful for.

Saturday Night Live Art Shows- Aligned Energy Art: "Gratitude".
“Gratitude” Energy Art and Edesign by Mary Ann Benoit.

7. Enhancing Connectivity: Energy art can promote a sense of connection—to oneself, to others, and to the universe. This connectivity can foster deeper relationships, better understanding of oneself (leading to better health choices), and a sense of abundance.

In essence, energy art becomes a tangible reflection of one’s intentions. By consciously interacting with and acknowledging these intentions through art, one is taking an active step toward manifesting the desires of wealth, health, and love in their life.

Saturday Night Live Art Shows- “It’s Just the Moon”- Adventures in AI.

Welcome to Saturday Night Live Art Shows. I’m Mary Ann Benoit, an energy artist and Interior Designer from Seward, Alaska.

Creativity and design happen in many ways. Explore what is possible.

AI or artificial intelligence is a great tool to bring your vision to life. Despite the name, it is not that smart. You need to have a creative vision, tell it what to do, and refine it until it is what you imagine.

I created these art designs in AI, mixed them with my fractal art, and created these Interior Designs. I love the results and energy they convey.

This collection is “It’s Just the Moon”. The moon affects the oceans, how does it affect you? When the energy around you seems crazy, don’t worry, it’s just the moon.

Raise the vibe in your space today. Great design starts with energy.

My art is a mixture of fractal art and AI, with numerous fractal art hearts, symbolizing living a path with heart.

What is AI and Fractal Art?

I created this digital art using a combination of AI (artificial intelligence) and Fractal on my computer. AI required using the right words to tell the computer what your artistic vision is, and then revising it over and over until it is close to my vision. Then I create fractal art using special software based on math. I overlay the fractal art images on the AI images. Each image has a special energy message meant to support you in your life. I infuse my energy to support you through the art during the creation process.

I love creating these mediums because it allows me to work with brilliant colors, interesting textures, and incredible detail.
