When you wake up and go to work, are you doing something you would do anyway, even if you were not getting paid?
Does it feel easy, as if it were meant to be?
Or are you chasing something you think you are meant to have, stressing over all the things that you must do so you can have the life you want? Are you endlessly Doing, Doing, Doing all the things so you can Have what you want, like a hamster on a wheel?
If only you had the things you wanted…..time, money or ???, you could do the things you wanted and you could be happy, right? HAVE, DO, BE.
What if it was actually backward. What if the key was to BE the person that was able to do the things that were needed to have the life you wanted? It really comes back to you and if you are BEING the person that you are meant to be.
Being that person becomes easier when you are in alignment with what you are meant to do in this world and with what you are uniquely capable of doing as no one else can.
“There is a vitality, a life force, an energy, a quickening that is translated through you into action, and because there is only one of you in all time, this expression is unique. And if you block it, it will never exist through any other medium and will be lost.” Martha Graham
I believe that I am aligned with what I am meant to do, which is to create beautiful things, such as beautiful interiors, art, jewelry, dance, and music.
I was unclear for a long time what being in alignment meant, or what I was meant to do.
One thing that helped me discover that was Jim Fortin’s Transformational Coaching Program (TCP).
It started for me by just listening to his free podcast.
Then I took a free BE, DO, HAVE training which really put things in perspective for me.
That led to me taking his Transformational Coaching Program (TCP). This made a huge difference in my life. I took it 5 times, each time learning new and critical things for my well-being. Each time, you work on new things and transform a little bit (or a lot) more.
I write this in the hope that it may help you too, if you are aware of it and interested.
Don’t take my word for it. Try it for yourself. Once you know it, you can’t unknow it.
Be, Do, Have
Be, Do, Have is Jim Fortin’s free training series geared towards transforming your life from the inside out and reprogramming subconscious thinking. The Be, Do, Have series is offered twice a year and consists of three live pieces of training held by Jim. Register here.

What a great question you’ve asked us to ask ourselves, MaryAnn:
“Are we aligned with who we are meant to be?”
Thanks for writing a post that helped me dive into my own thoughts about this.
Thanks Leslie, so glad you enjoyed it!
Are you who yo were meant to BE? It’s a great question! I love the Martha Graham quote – we were each created to make a unique contribution to the world! And it would be sadly lost if we don’t become our part of that beautiful tapestry.
Yes, and I love the imagery of becoming part of that beautiful tapestry!
