Your stager can recommend what things should be done to the exterior and yard to improve curb appeal.
Typically, this involves doing your yard work, trimming, trees and shrubs, putting everything away, a new welcome mat, and some flowers or art near the door.
Create outdoor living spaces with chairs, tables, and a BBQ grill in a beautiful spot in the yard or on the deck to show the possibilities.
Great tips here! Some you would t think you’d need to spell out, but I know I’ve seen houses in real estate listings with some of these not done. It’s great to have a check list!
Thanks, Carla. Yes, I think a checklist helps. When selling, you have so many things on your mind it can be hard to keep track of it all, but taking care of things that will make you the most money are things not to forget.
This is certainly a list I need to keep close by!! Thanks-
Great advice, as always!
Great tips especially lighting – so important!
Thanks so much Carole!
Such a great check list to mitigate stress when selling a home.
As always, great tips. We are in a hot sellers market and I see many homes not even making an effort to stage as they know they’ll sell. It’s pretty sad, actually as they have the potential to earn maybe a few more dollars!
Exactly, being short-sighted in trying to save a few bucks now really hurts you in what you can make on your final home sale. It is the perfect time to generate a bidding war with a well-staged home.
Yes! Keep the lid down!
Yes, a simple but important thing anyone can do!
